Why should educators incorporate technology in the classroom? Excellent question! It may seem that technology is only a distraction for students but think again about it. If it is something that captivates their attention then the teacher must find interesting ways to incorporate it in the classroom. When students are placed in groups it is easier for them to collaborate using technology. This is also where peer tutoring can be done. The stronger students are able to assist the weaker ones with topics they do not readily understand in class.

With the many applications (apps) offered on laptops, tablets, smart phone and other devices, the sky is the limit when it comes to being innovative.

Teachers are able to view and utilize readily able lesson plans for topics found in the curriculum for free. The teacher as a result is able to deliver the lesson more creatively and effectively, ensuring that every child is able to learn what is being taught.

Technology is a part of our everyday lives, at home, work, school and play. With each opportunity the student gets to use the technology in positive ways, it can only make him/her a better equipped to make valuable contributions wherever he/she may go in the world
