This lesson
had only one main problem. About seven
of the students were unprepared for working. They did not have their painting
supplies. This was solved by simply having the students team up with another
classmate who was willing to share their supplies. Apart from that the lesson
was particularly interesting for the students, as they enjoyed the outdoor
activity very much. We ended up staying
outdoors longer than I had anticipated. It was fine with me because they were
having fun and learning at the same time.
After they had
viewed the Power Point presentation, they were given a handout with the basic
information of the lesson. The students had a lot of thought provoking questions about
colour, but we did not have enough time to dig deeper into the topic, since I
needed them to do the other activity of creating their art pieces planned. I
challenged them to come up with additional questions for us to discuss next
class. I am looking forward to continuing this lesson.
