 Reflection
This lesson had only one main problem.  About seven of the students were unprepared for working. They did not have their painting supplies. This was solved by simply having the students team up with another classmate who was willing to share their supplies. Apart from that the lesson was particularly interesting for the students, as they enjoyed the outdoor activity very much.  We ended up staying outdoors longer than I had anticipated. It was fine with me because they were having fun and learning at the same time.

After they had viewed the Power Point presentation, they were given a handout with the basic information of the lesson. The students had a lot of thought provoking questions about colour, but we did not have enough time to dig deeper into the topic, since I needed them to do the other activity of creating their art pieces planned. I challenged them to come up with additional questions for us to discuss next class. I am looking forward to continuing this lesson.

Reflections

A PowerPoint presentation entitled 'A splash of colour, working with colour schemes was produced. It was used as a visual aid to stimulate their creativity and build on the previous knowledge about colours that they had. A short video was shown at the beginning of the presentation, which served as a refresher course for the class. The presentation then identified and gave examples of the different basic colour schemes and how different colours can appeal to our emotions in different ways. Another short video was shown to help them make the connection between colour and emotion.

I faced a few challenges while the presentation was being produced. Firstly, I had no previous experience creating a PowerPoint as part of my lesson so it was a bit daunting. After almost completing it, I accidentally deleted the presentation and had to start over which  caused some frustration then to add to frustration, my laptop decided to give me some technical difficulties.( I was a basket case). However, fortunately I eventually sorted out the entire ordeal.

I recognised that some improvements could have been made. In terms of some of the examples given, they could have been more creativity displayed. The duration for a few of the transitions could have been adjusted to create a better flow of the presentation.
